为了拓展我的知识面，爸爸答应我暑假去神农架一趟。8月中旬的一天，我们一家三口高高兴兴地踏上了神农架之旅。

我们先乘火车到宜昌，再在宜昌乘大约五六个小时的车，便来到神农架的入口——鸭子口。这里的海拔已经是一千八百多米了，与宜昌市区的炎热相反，我感觉到了一丝丝的寒意，汽车玻璃也冰凉冰凉的。

汽车在盘山公路上又行驶四十多分钟，就是神农架的最高峰——神农顶。从山上往山脚下望去，植被的垂直变化十分明显。山脚是阔叶林，山腰是针叶林，再往高处，草树交错。越往上，树就越来越少，到海拔两千六百多米的地方，就基本上没树了，只剩下了各种各样的`草和大熊猫爱吃的箭竹，可惜箭竹都枯死了。到山顶便只有草了，也就是我们常说的高山草甸。

离开风景垭，沿着盘山公路继续往前走，便来到了板壁岩。在这里，我看到了蔷薇、冷杉、黄杨木、红桦等过去我听都没有听说的植物，其中有不少还是珍稀植物。有长了一千年还只有一个成人高的小叶黄杨，过去用来做直升飞机螺旋桨的红桦，属于国家一级保护植物的珙桐……跟随着导游走了一会儿，我们看到一个洞穴。据说这里可能曾有野人出没过。洞穴旁古木参天，树上附着厚厚的一层苔藓。我深深地吸了一口气，好新鲜呀！
