　　初中英语日记篇1

　　I’m reading George Eliot’s works The Mill on the Floss & Adam Bede with great interest. The former at school and the latter at home. I have long finished her Middlemarch to which I first listened in complete puzzlement on the radio many years ago. And last year I read it on the Net. It is The Mill on the Floss that moves me most among the three works above-mentioned. I couldn’t keep back my tears twice during my reading. When Mr Tulliver gets irritated by quarreling with Mrs G, one of his wife’s sisters, he’s also displeased with his sister’s husband and rushes to claim the money lent to them for repaying Mrs G. But he regrets deeply soon after pressing the poor couple and cancels the claim for he hates to see Tom hard on Maggie in the future as he does towards his sister. The second time I shed tears was today when I read the family council after Mr Tulliver goes bankrupt. The tragic atmosphere is extremely moving.

　　How time flies!After only on hour,we got to Zhejiang University.The university is pretty,beautiful and large.The Teaching buildings and student’s building are very new.I couldn’t wait to go into the student’s building.The condition of the flat is good.The air conditioner is prepared for us.The headteacher has a b mind,no matter how hot it was,he still helped us to solve the problems.

　　In the afternoon,we had our first class.Mrs Zheng asked us 10 questions,and we answered them.

　　After having dinner,my friend and I went to the supermarket to buy some fruit.

　　The street. The business of the shop is booming! As soon as the cargo was stolen, a few bold boys put up their small guns, and the frightened girls ran away. They were still laughing.

　　At home, the children were playing, the adults were talking and talking about plans for the future. By noon, everyone was making New Year dishes, and the whole street was full of fragrance.

　　There was no laughing, no wine, no smell, and all the houses were closed and dead.

　　In the evening, it is lively again. The family come out to go shopping, very warm. The sky, a bunch of fireworks set off, colorful, beautiful! From time to time, the neon lights of the street lit up the faces of people.

　　The origin of this summer festival centers around a scholarly government official named Chu Yuan. He was a good and respected man, but because of the misdeeds of jealous rivals he eventually fell into disfav or in the emperors court.

　　Unable to regain the respect of the emperor, in his sorrow Chu Yuan threw himself into the Mi Low river. Because of their admiration for Chu Yuan, the local people living adjacent to the Mi Lo River rushed into their boats to search for him while throwing rice into the waters to appease the river dragons.

　　Although they were unable to find Chu Yuan, their efforts are still commemorated today during the Dragon Boat Festival.

　　Today our Chinese teacher taught us a song. We learnt fast but sang it too loudly. He also asked us to retell a story. Something like those is very interesting. 2.5 hours passed quickly. Jessica gave us some pictures and asked us to write a story in 30 minutes, from one of the pictures. We discussed and finished it very well I think life here is becoming more and more interesting. At school we just learn grammar and do exercises in English classes, that’s really very boring. There will be a speaking competition on Saturday. I’m not willing to take part in it because I’m a little afraid of speaking before so many people. I have made a speech in junior middle school, I stood before 2000 students and felt very upset and nervous. Though I finished the speech, I don’t think my behavior was good. Maybe you think I need more practice, but I think I’m not good at speaking. I do better in writing than in speaking. I know I should be confident with myself, but I think I won’t speak very well in front of so many people. Even though I have learnt the article by heats when I stand on the stage. I may forget all of it that’s really a terrible thing.
