　　中国学生为什么难写出好英语作文

　　昨天来了个外国人，走到办公室，一女士左看右看，大家都在打游戏，只有自己比较清闲，就面带微笑地说： “Hello, you have what thing”（你有什么事）外国人：“Can you speak English”（你会讲英语吗）女士：“If I not speak English, I am speaking what”（如果我不会说，那我现在说的什么）外国人：“Can anybody else speak English”（还有谁能讲英语吗）女士：“You yourself look. 　　思维――中文――英文

　　我们掌握了一定量的单词和句型，但是在运用这些单词和句型的时候，我们往往会先在脑海中构造一个中文的句式，然后再把它翻译成英文。

　　我们的思维转变成中文的速度太快了，快到你自己意识不到这种转换完成了，所以脑海中永远都是成型的中文句子，地道的中文句子。于是在写作的时候，同学们总是面对中文句子，从第一个词开始动笔翻译，最后呈现的是一篇生硬的英语译文，而非英语作文。

　　纠正这个习惯就要平时在英语写作训练上注意克服对中文的依赖。习惯是由于重复而产生的，也只能通过更多次的重复去消除掉。英语作文的总体评分原则

　　高分作文的写作要素体现在阅卷人员所依据的评分原则和评分标准—总体评分（Global Scoring）之中。阅卷人员主要凭对文章的总体印象和总体表达效果给分。这表明作文是就内容和语言两方面给分。语言和内容是一个统一体，要求内容切题、表达清楚、意义连贯、句法多变、语言正确。

　　1）内容切题：不能走题、偏题。

　　2）表达清楚：要让别人知道你想说什么，不要用你认为能看懂的汉语式英文句子，比如： In your letter I have a word don’t understand.(在你的信里我有一个字不明白)这样的英语句子只能让阅卷人员捧腹大笑，然后给你“温柔一刀” 。

　　3）意义连贯：中英文化差异造成思维方式和文字表述方式的不同，英文表述更注重事实，所以写英语作文不要过多的进行心理、环境描写，作文结构要缜密，理由和例子要简洁有力，说明问题，不要东拉西扯。

　　4）句法多变：为避免文章平淡、呆板，可使用不同的句式：强调句、倒装句、否定句等等。

　　5）语言正确：不要犯低级的语法错误。英语写作的基本原则长短句原则

　　工作需要一张一驰，写作文也是如此。写一个短小精辟的句子，可以起到画龙点睛的作用。而且如果我们把短句放在段首或者段末，也可以揭示主题：

　　As a creature, I eat; as a man, I read. Although one action is to meet the primary need of my body and the other is to satisfy the intellectual need of mind, they are in a way quite similar.

　　主题句原则

　　同学们一定要写一个主题句，放在文章的开头（保险型）或者结尾，让读者一目了然。

　　特别提示：隐藏主题句可是要冒险的！

　　考官们看文章也必然要通过这些关键性的“标签”来判定你的文章是否结构清楚，条理自然。应对方法很简单，只要把下面任何一组的词汇加入到你的几个要点前就清楚了。 1）first， second， third， last

　　原因很简单，写文章还是应该写一些实际的东西，不要空话连篇。这就要求一定要多用实词，少用虚词。这里所说的虚词是指那些比较大的词。比如我们说一个人很好的时候，不应该只说nice这样空洞的词，应该使用一些诸如generous，interesting， smart， gentle， warm-hearted之类的形象词。

　　走出房间，最一般的词是：walk out of the room

　　但是小偷走出房间应该说：slip out of the room 小孩走出房间应该说：dance out of the room 老人走出房间应该说：stagger out of the room 所以多用实词，少用虚词，文章将会大放异彩！挑战极限原则

　　在学生的作文中，很少发现使用独立主格的句子。

　　The weather being fine, a large number of people went to climb the Western Hills.

　　Africa is the second largest continent, its size being about three times that of China.

　　如果你能写出一些这样的句子，不得高分才怪！也很少发现使用虚拟语气。

　　Obviously, it is high time that we took some measures to solve the problem.

　　考官本来经常考这个句型，而如果我们自己写出来，你说考官会怎么想呢？

　　写好英语句子必须注意“五性” 一、准确性

　　用词准确是写好作文的关键。用词准确不仅仅指拼写正确，还指选用的词在搭配及所表达的词义上与句意相吻合。我们常见到这样的情况，将所有“对应”的词放入句中，造出的句子会不合适。例如：你应该要更注意你的发音。

　　误：You should more notice your pronunciation.

　　正：You should pay more attention to your pronunciation.

　　析：此处的“注意”应用 pay attention to 来表达，notice 主要指通过感觉器官注意到的。

　　此外，用词不准确还体现在词的搭配及一些习惯用语上。如：我们搭起帐篷，开始生火做饭。

　　误：We put up the tent， and set fire to cook. 正：We put up the tent， and made a fire to cook. 析：set fire，其意为“放火烧了”，与“生火”意义相去甚远。二、得体性

　　用词的得体性是指在选词时要考虑全文及所要表达的思想。所以在选词时，既要考虑语气、风格和语体，还应考虑词义的褒贬问题。例如：我们在农场四周看了看。差：We looked around the farm. 好：We made a tour of the farm.

　　好：We were shown around the farm. 析：look around意为“（原地不动）环视”，与“四处看看”意义相去甚远。

　　另外，语言的得体性，还指所写语言要合乎一定的语言环境，比如一位同学给其好友写信，信末用了这样一个句子:

　　I’d appreciate it if you would write me an earlier reply.

　　从语法上来看这是一个无可挑剔的句子，但用在这里不得体。因为这是一个非常正式的结构，多用于对上级或陌生人，朋友之间是不宜使用这种口气的。如果使用:

　　I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon . 就好多了，得体多了。三、高级性

　　高级性指在作文中使用了较高级的结构或较高级词汇。 “较高级词汇” 主要包括以下几个方面：

　　一是考试大纲中没有却又在阅读时经常碰上的词汇，二是指有些词汇虽在考纲之内，但其用法是教材中不曾有或较少见的，若运用得当，可视为高级词汇。

　　三是有的简单词汇由于结合使用了较新颖的表达形式，或在特定的语言环境下运用地恰到好处，也可视为高级用法；四是句型结构的高级

　　性，如非谓语动词的使用、各类从句的使用等。听到这消息，我感到有点泄气。

　　析：第2句有两处显得高级：一是使用了非谓语动词，二是使用了kind of（有点）这一带副词性质的短语。四、灵活性

　　写作与单项选择不同，它并不是考查我们对一个特定词语的记忆和理解能力。不论是谁，在写作中都会碰到难以表达的或不会表达的词语，这时我们不要硬译，而是灵活处理。也就是说不要受汉语句子的束缚进行逐字逐句的翻译。

　　我的一些同学在医院里陪着我。

　　Some of my classmates stayed with me in the hospital.

　　析：句中的“陪”不好表达，这时我们可理解为“和我在一起”，即be/stay with me.

　　请听听这首歌的片段。

　　Please listen to a few seconds of the song. 析：“片段”怎么说？实难表达。这时我们可用a few seconds of the song来表达，同样有异曲同工之妙。五、地道性所谓地道性，就是指写出的英语句子要尽量符合英美本族人的习惯和风格，或者说要使句子尽量带点“洋味”。谢谢你陪我们玩。

　　欠妥：Thank you for playing with us.

　　地道：Thank you for sharing the time with us. 析：play 表示“玩”，多用于小孩，将之用于成年人，显得用得很幼稚，甚至可笑。若改用 share the time with，则不仅更准确，而且非常地道。

　　Nowadays most people go to university not only to learn new knowledge but to get a degree.
