A tale of two cities is written by Charles Dickens, one of Americas greatest writers. He was born in 1812 in Portsmouth and died in 1870. The tale of a tale of two cities was written in 1775. In a room above a tavern in Paris, there was a white-haired man who was busy making shoes. He had been a prisoner in the bastille for 18 years. On a bus to Paris, she sat on lucie, the daughter she had never seen before. Lucie brought her father back to London, and, with the love and care of her daughter, he forgot about the past and learned to live as a free man.
