信息技术与高中英语学科教学整合 (中学英语教学论文)

[摘要] 电脑的发明及发展使人类进入了信息社会。信息技术与学科教学的整合,要求广大教师在学科的教学中广泛利用信息技术手段,努力培养学生的创新能力和实践能力。我校从创办开始就一直提倡信息技术与课程整合,实现了多媒体教学进入每一间教室。多媒体网络化教学成为教学的常规手段。如何有效地使用现代教育技术,充分发挥信息资源的优势以促进学生的学习是我们每一个老师认真思考和探讨的问题。

一、 案例背景

多媒体技术和网络技术的高速发展为信息技术和学科教学的整合提供了理想的资源与环境。新课程标准提出教师要充分利用现代教育技术,开发英语教学资源,拓宽学生学习渠道,改进学生的学习方式,提高学生的学习效率。要利用计算机和多媒体软件教学,促进学生的个性化学习。新课程标准也提出在教学中应增加开放性的任务型活动,提倡任务型教学,提高学生的自主学习能力。信息技术和任务型教学的整合打破了传统的教学模式,提高了学生的学习兴趣,有利于学生的互动学习,使学生成为学习的主体,完成设定的目标任务,从而使学生能主动、自主地学习知识和提高语言技能,增进对外国文化的理解,达到综合语言运用能力的提高。

下面是高一英语新教材(下)unit 14 Festivals,period 3的教学实践案例。

二、 案例过程

“The Birth of a Festival”网络教学设计方案

Ⅰ、学习目标与任务

1) 学习目标

语言技能目标:

﹡ Know something about Kwanzaa, such as the background of the festival, the aim of creating such a festival etc.

﹡ Learn some new words and phrases.

能力目标:

﹡ Develop the ability of searching、gaining、consulting and integrating information.

﹡ Develop the ability of reading as well as other abilities.

﹡ Develop the ability of creating.

情感目标:

﹡ Develop the ability of cooperating

﹡ Get the students to know the aim of creating festivals.

2) 学习任务

﹡ 课前:学生分小组查找有关Chinese Spring Festival 和Christmas 的资料,整理并呈现书面报告。

﹡ 课上:教师通过不同的任务,引导学生阅读课文,再以生生编对话、学生合作讨论等互动式的学习方式,对学习的内容进行归纳总结和提高。

﹡ 课后给出网站,自由查找一个节日,写一篇有关节日的文章。

Ⅱ、学习者分析:

学生对于节日比较感兴趣,也喜欢搜集这方面的材料,因此学习有一定的主动性.再加上多媒体的介入,使课堂更加生动活泼,丰富了课堂教学的内容,拓展了学生的知识面。

Ⅲ、教学过程

Step 1 Lead-in

以flash<<More than I can say>> 导入新课(上该课时正值情人节),轻快的歌曲和美丽的画面立刻引起了学生的注意。

T: What day is it today?

Ss: Today is Feb,14th

Ss all know that Feb,14 is Valentine’s Day. So ask some more questions:

T: How much do you know about Valentine’s Day ?

What do lovers usually do on that day?

How does Valentine’s Day come from? Do you know the history?

说明:通过情人节自然引出西方的节日,flash调动了学生的注意力,活跃了气氛,为课文的处理做了铺垫。

Step 2 Pre-reading

T: There are many festivals in the world. Which festival do you think is the most important in China? How about in the west?

Make a comparison

To the Chinese people, the Spring Festival is the most popular. It is as important as Christmas in West.

Get the Ss to report

Chinese Spring Festival Christmas

说明:通过比较两个重要的节日,让学生把已经准备好的材料报告出来,使学生能有表现自己的机会,同时对Chinese Spring Festival和Christmas 有一个更深的了解,问题Do you think festivals help us understand culture and history? 为创设节日的意义讨论埋下伏笔。

Step 3 Reading

1.Skimming

T: Today we are going to learn about another festival-Kwanzaa. It is an important festival to African Americans. I have divided the passage into 4 parts. Please read the passage quickly and find out the main idea of each part.

Part 1 Para 1&2 background information of creating Kwanzaa

Part 2 Para 3-8 seven principles

Part 3 Para 9 detailed information of Kwanzaa

Part 4 Para 10 effects of creating festivals

说明:通过速读,概括每部分的大意,使学生对文章有一个简单的了解,同时训练了学生的组织和运用语言的能力及速读的能力。

2.Scanning

1) Part 1

Get the Ss to read part 1 slowly with the questions in mind

Who created Kwanzaa? In which year?

Why did he create Kwanzaa?

What characteristics did the African first fruit festival have?

2) Part 2

Get the Ss to read part 2 slowly with the question in mind

What are the seven principles?

After Ss answered, get the Ss to work in pairs to think about a question,

Which one do you think is the most important? Why?

Get several pairs to report.

S2: Purpose, because purpose can make us do better.

S3: Creativity, we can’t live without it.

说明:学生对文章有一个简单的了解后转入细读每一部分,使学生对文章有更深入的了解,同时训练了学生获取信息、处理信息和传达信息的能力。讨论题Which one do you think is the most important? Why? 给了学生一个思维和想象的空间,使学生有机会表达自己的想法。

Step 4 Summary

1) Watch the video to revise what we have learnt

2) Do “True” or “False” statement

1. Kwanzaa is a very old festival.

2. The word Kwanzaa means first fruit in Swahili.

3. Kwanzaa is based on old African festival.

4. Kwanzaa is celebrated on the same day as Christmas.

5. People who celebrate Kwanzaa light a candle for each of the seven principles.

6. Creating festivals helps people to understand the history and economy.

Step 5 Post-reading

1) Interview

Ss work in pairs, playing the roles of a journalist and an African American, make an interview. Then the teacher invites some pairs to act out the interview.

Model: J- journalist A- African American

J: Good morning, I’m from Ruian Daily. I’d like to know about Kwanzaa. May I ask you a few questions?

A: Sure

J: When was the Kwanzaa born?

A:……….

说明:通过这项活动,使学生们把已有的语言知识转化成口头的语言,提高了他们的语言应用能力和对语言的组织能力。

2) Comparison

Get the Ss to work in pairs , compare Kwanzaa with Chinese Spring Festival and Christmas. In which way are they similar and how are they different?

3) Discussion

With the development of China, many cities are creating various festivals to develop their economy ,for example, Ruian Bar Culture Festival, Shangdong Weifang Kite festival. Our school will hold the second Campus Culture festival…….What effects do these festivals bring? Good effects or bad ones?

Divide the Ss into two groups, one for good effects and one for bad effects.

To encourage them the teacher will give one point to a piece of effect.

下面是学生的观点:

说明:通过这两项活动,使学生充分调动已有的语言知识,发展了他们的批判性思维能力和创新精神,使学生的综合素质得到发展。

可以将优秀的上传到玉海中学网站,对学生的写作是一种鼓励,也是一种促进。

三、 案例思考

1.Internet 网络教学具有信息量大,交互性强,知识新,趣味性强等特点,但有时也不乏垃圾。所以教师必须课前提炼信息并把相关网站提供给学生,这样才能提高他们的学习效率,增加获取信息的数量,掌握更多的知识。

2.在设计任务时,教师应以学生的生活经验和兴趣为出发点。我在布置学生预习时,叫学生去找自己感兴趣的一个节日的有关信息,几乎全体学生都有去找,再加上提供了网站,学生获取信息的时间短了,信息量多了,也愿意去做了。

3.网络教学可以提供足够的信息支持他们的探索和设想,能力和创造力在不知不觉中得到了锻炼,是培养创新精神和学习能力的有效方法。我在教学中让学生比较宽札节和春节及圣诞节的异同,说出创建节日的好处及坏处,学生利用已找到的资料,节省了比较的时间,同时发展了他们的批判性思维能力和创新精神。

4.网络教学转变了教师在教学中的角色,不仅仅成为知识的传授者,而且成为学生学习的促进者、指导者、组织者、帮助者和评价者。教师在设计任务时能使学生成为真正的学习主体。

5.有利于培养和提高教师与学生借助多媒体和网络获取信息、处理信息和利用信息的能力,追求教学的最优组合。信息技术和英语学科的整合将使我们的教学手段更多样化,具有层次性,给学生创造一个更适合学习的开放的语言环境,使我们的英语教学跟上现代教育的需要。
