由于“主题公园”这一概念可能学生还不是很熟悉,作为知识教学的一部分,应将着一部分作为一个重点,以拓展学生的一些课外知识。

3. Teach the students to get some certain information in a passage according to the request.
阅读是学习外语的主要输入方式之一。本册书的中的阅读课程中主要是培养学生的各种阅读技巧,具体的将在下面的教案中具体体现。

由于信息和时间的限制,如何使学生明白一个新的概念是很困难的。

Step 1 Lead-in
The teacher can use the question “Have you ever been to the World Park in Shen Zhen, China?” to make the students get a general idea about the theme park.
有可能还有一些同学不知道深圳世界公园,那么教师可以利用学生所熟悉的例子,如:Have you ever been to the The World Under the Sea in Nanjing?关于南京的海底世界,学生们可能更清楚一点。
那么,海底世界主要的目的就是为了让人们了解海里的一些生物的状态,这些都是平时生活在陆地上,尤其是我们这些生活在内陆的人所不知道的,它就是一个主题公园。(由此,学生就可以明白主题公园的大概含义)
Step 2 Skimming and Scanning
跳读和略读是一种非常重要的阅读技巧,是一中提高阅读速度的技能,着就要求学生掌握如何识别关键词(Kea words)、中心句(Kea sentences)的技巧,可以告诉学生,每一段的第一和第二句话以及最后一句话往往都是这一段的中心句。
The teacher ask the students the following questions:
1. What is the definition of “Theme Park”?
2. Can you give some names of the theme parks?
After asking the students to read the text quickly and find the answers to the questions, the teacher checks the answers with the students.
Step 3 Intensive reading
精读是阅读课的又一重要部分,通过这种训练,可以让学生得到两个方面的益处:一,可以让学生学到更多的知识,尤其是国外的文化背景以及各种相关的课外知识。二,让学生了解各种题材的英语文章的结构和写法,提高学生的写作水平。
First, ask the students to read the passage again while listening to the tape, and then, ask them to answer these questions:
1. How to divide the whole passage into several parts?
通过分段可以了解这篇文章的大体结构。
2. Find the key sentences in each paragraph.
通过概括段落大意,可以学习文章的具体的知识。
First part: Paragraph 1
Main idea: What is a “Theme Park” and what is its personality?
Second Part: Paragraph 2&3
Main idea: Introduce some certain examples of theme parks to the readers.
Third part: Paragraph4
Main idea: Theme parks are more and more important and popular.
Step4 post reading
这一部分是提高学生技能的一个项目,是升华课本知识的一个重要手段。要求学生在读过这篇文章后能够在实际生活中运用所学到的知识。但是根据学生的实际情况,可以通过任务教学的方法让学生自己设计一个主题公园。
Answers to the questions in post reading:
1. Theme parks offer a large variety of attractions and may teach something. They have special celebrations and kinds of food to eat.
2. Possible reasons include: People want more than just fun; People want to learn something when they visit a park; etc.
3. People go on rides, eat, watch others, and just relax.
4. Encourage the students to create an English-Speaking World Park by using the skills they have learned in this passage and the creativity they have.
通过这些练习使学生更加熟悉课文内容,巩固了课堂学习,还可以开发学生的创新思维,符合了新大纲的要求。
Step 5 Homework
Ask the students to read the text until they can read it fluently, during which, underlined the difficulties and sentences that are hard to understand. Do the language study exercises before we explain the language points.
通过家庭作业进一步巩固课堂学习,加深学生对知识的理解,达到温故而知新的目的;通过它,还可以让学生对下一堂课的内容进行预习,提高课堂效率。
