a bit; a little辨识

This pair of shoes is a bit/a little expensive.

This film is a bit/a little more interesting than that one.

He knows a little/a bit of English.

I've got a bit of problem.

not a little表示肯定意义,相当于very或greatly,意思是"很;非常";not a bit是加强否定的语气,相当于"not ... at all",意思是"一点儿也不"。如:

She is not a little good at English.

She is not a bit good at French.

He was not a little surprised.

I'm not a bit tired.

a little of后的名词通常为特指,表示"...... not a bit可分开,not a little不可分开。如:

May I have a little of your tea?

He spends not a little on books.

You'd think she'd be tired after such a long journey, but not a bit of it!
