some与any是同胞兄妹,他们都是不定代词,又都兼作形容词,都含有"一些"的意思,兄妹俩都可修饰或代替名词。兄妹俩的基本分工是:some经常用在肯定句中,any一般用于否定句或疑问句中。下面我们先来看看兄妹俩在句中的"表演"吧:
1. There are some books on the desk. 桌子上有一些书。
2. I haven't any brothers and sisters. 我没有兄弟姐妹。
3. Can you see any birds in the tree? 你能看见树上的鸟吗?
但如有下列情况之一者,some要代替any:
I. 说话人希望对方能够给予肯定回答。如:
Can you give me some paper? 能给我一些纸吗?
II. 说话人提出邀请或请求。如:
Will you give me some bread? 请给我一些面包好吗?
III. 说话人问对方是否再要一些什么东西。如:
Would you like some more tea? 你想再来点儿茶吗?
[注意] any有时也可以表示肯定,请看下面的句子:
If you have any milk, please give me some. 如果你有牛奶的话,请给我一些。
