这两个词都有"也"的意思，都用于肯定句或疑问句。但too一般用于句末，also一般位于情态动词及连系动词be之后，行为动词之前。如：
I think Beijing Opera is very interesting， too. 我也认为京剧很有意思。
Do you like Chinese history，too？你也喜欢中国历史吗？
My birthday is also November 20th. 我的生日也是11月20日。
He also wants to go to a movie. 他也想去看电影。
顺便说一下，这两个词都不能用于否定句，否定句中的"也"用either表示，放在句末。如：
My mother doesn't like comedies. My father doesn't like comedies， either. 我母亲不喜欢看喜剧片。我父亲也不喜欢看喜剧片。
