我们反身代词弟兄总计八个, 分别是myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves和themselves。
我们的基本用法有四种：
1. 作宾语，表示动作的承受者是动作执行者自己。例如：
She teaches herself English on the radio. 她通过收音机自学英语。
He is too young to look after himself. 他年龄太小，不能照看自己。
2. 作名词或代词的同位语，起加强语气的作用。表示"亲自"、"本人"的意思。例如：
The teacher himself came to see me. 老师亲自来看我。
The boy himself made the model plane. 那个男孩自己制作的这个飞机模型。
3. 与介词by合成介词短语，表示"独自"的意思。例如：
The girl sat there thinking by herself. 那个女孩独自坐在那儿沉思着。
The machine works by itself. 这台机器是自动的。
4. 作表语。例如：
I'm not quite myself these days. 我近来身体不太舒服。
I'll be myself again in no time. 我一会儿就会好的。
