family, house, home 都可表示“家”的意思。
family一般指有一种社会结构的“家庭”，谓语动词用单数形式， 也可指家庭全体成员，谓语动词用复数形式。如：
My family is a large one. 我家是个大家庭。
My family are all reading. 我家里人都在看书。
home 指一个人出生和居住的地方。如：
I'm going home. 我正要回家。（home在这里是副词）
My home is near the factory. 我的家在工厂附近。
house 指供一家人住的房子，侧重于具体的建筑物。如：
There are few new houses here. 这儿没有什么新房子。
