1. Which is the second / fourth / fifth/ ninth/ tenth month of the year? 一年中第二/第四/第五/第九/第十个月是哪月？
序数词一般是在基数词词尾加-th变成的，但第一（first ），第二（second），第三（third）例外。有口诀可以帮助记忆：序数词词尾是th,一、二、三要牢记；八少t, 九减e, ve结尾变f, five和twelve是两兄弟。
2. What's the weather like ...? 意为"......的天气怎么样？"，相当于"How is the weather... ?" 这个句型常用来询问天气情况。
3. The weather gets warmer, and the days get longer.天气变得更暖和了，白天也更长了。
get在这里意为"变得"，从语法上讲，此处get相当于系动词be。如： It is very hot in summer here , but it gets cold in winter. 这里夏天天气很热，但冬天却变得很冷。
另外，turn , grow, become也有"变得"的意思，其后一般都接形容词作表语。如：Trees turn green, and flowers start to come out. 树木变绿了，花儿竞相绽放。
4. everything是复合不定代词，它作主语时，谓语动词常用第三人称单数形式。类似的词还有：everyone, everybody, someone, somebody, something, anything, nothing, nobody 等。
5. last用作动词时意为"持续；延续"，作形容词时意为"过去的；上次的；最后的"。如：
The meeting lasted two hours. 那个会议持续了两个小时。
They gave a concert in our school last week. 他们上周在我们学校举办了一次音乐会。
6. unlike意为"不像；和......不同"，是介词，它是由反义前缀"un-"加like构成。类似的词还有：unhappy（不高兴的），unfair（不公平的），uneasy（不安的）等。
unlike是介词like的反义词， 而like用作动词时意为"喜欢"，它的反义词为dislike(不喜欢)。如：Her novel is quite unlike her earlier work. 她最近的小说和以前的截然不同。
