1.教材分析

本单元围绕“How do you get to school?”展开教学活动。以对上学过程中所要进行的活动为话题,要求学生在学习一些日常活动词汇的基础上,恰当的运用一般现在时来描述自己对交通工具的表达与运用。通过不断地口语练习,使学生积极参与、合作,从而培养学生的综合语言运用能力。

2.学情分析

我们这里的学生地处偏远的南部山区,各种条件相对比较落后。这对课程的有效进行是一项挑战。且教材以“任务型语言教学模式”来展开教学。这需要学生们具备一定的交际能力、语言结构。因此,在教学过程中,加强对学生的口语交际能力练习,让学生在具体的情景中学习,不但能培养学生对该课程的喜爱,也有利于学生将理论与实践结合,做到学以致用。作为教师,老师也应当兼顾到这三类学生:Top students, Medium students and poor students,要分别让他们吃得饱、吃的好、吃得了。

3.教学目标

a) 知识目标

通过本课,学生要能够掌握以下词汇与句型:

词汇:Taxi, Plane, Bus, Ship, Subway, Bike

句型:How do you get to school?

--I get to school by…

--I take the…

b) 技能目标

学生能流利地谈论对交通工具的表达与运用;

能正确使用一般现在时;

学生能够互相用英语交流,初步培养学生的语言综合运用能力

c) 学习策略

交际策略:学生能与他人协作交流,培养良好的交际能力;

资源策略:学生能充分利用各种资源,帮助自己主动学习;

认知策略:学生能进行的参与思考和及时的反馈;

调控策略:不断自省、提高,self- monitory,为以后学习打下坚实基础。

5.教学方法

采用任务型教学法

【点拨】本单元是围绕学生对自己出行的工具而展开教学,所以学生的兴趣极高。又因为与自己的日常生活密切相关,所以比较容易接受。重点是让学生正确使用一般现在时与他人交流。这是重点也是难点。本节课的总体设计应体现课标中的从学生的学习兴趣、生活体验和认知水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型教学途径的教学理念。

Teaching Procedures:

Step1.Greeting

T:Good afternoon, everyone, welcome to our English class. You guys looks so pretty, very nice!Is anyone absent today?

Step2.Review

Ok, good!So, today we are going continue to learn Unit4:How do you get to school? You know, last class, we have leant some new words of transportations. Now, let’s review. Please look at the PPT. (Ask students to say the words of each picture. They are: taxi, plane, bus, ship, subway, and bike)

Step3.New stuff

Yes, you guys all do the good job. Now, today, we will learn how to use these tools to communicate with each other. There are some set structures you need know, and please read after me: by the taxi, by plane, by bus, ride bike, take the subway, by ship.

Ok, now, I need some volunteers. Avery, how do you get to school? Bus!Ok, good. Ask others. Now, look at the blackboard!Introduce the sentence.

Step4.Activities:

Ask few students, round a circle, start with teacher, ask the questions: how do you get to school? Each student get one answer.

Step5 review and homework
