作为学生，我们不能像体育健儿那样为祖国勇夺金牌，让国歌一次又一次唱响世界；不能像孔繁林、任长霞那样用自己的满腔热血和生命去奉献社会、奉献人民；更不能像革命先烈那样“拼将十万头颅血，却把乾坤力挽回”，为祖国而甘愿牺牲一切。
那么，我们又该做些什么呢？
在这里，我想问：同学们，你热爱自己的父母、孝敬自己的父母吗？你热爱尊敬自己的老师吗？你热爱祖国的语言文字吗？你有坚强的意志、不服输的精神吗？你有知错就改、勇于承担责任的品质吗？有同学会问：你说的这些与爱国有关系吗？有当然有!
“勿以善小而不为，勿以恶小而为之。”弯腰捡起地上的一张废纸，做一个环境小卫士；为父母洗一次脚，让整日操劳的父母知道我们深爱着他们；用心、用智慧去学习、去传承祖国的灿烂文化。这些虽不像见义勇为、舍己救人那样轰轰烈烈；不像驰骋沙场、浴血杀敌那样豪情万丈，但这些正表明我们心里装着祖国，如果需要的话，如果可能的话，我们同样会为祖国抛头颅、洒热血而不皱一下眉头!大家说，是不是!
千里之行,始于足下，朋友们，年轻的我们青春焕发，热血沸腾。让我们从现在做起，努力学习，走好求学之旅。让文明之火薪火相传，让勤奋的汗水浇开知识之花，让智慧之光照亮我们的心田，让我们用拼搏书写未来的辉煌。祖国，我们感受到了您的成熟，您的男性般坚实的臂膀，您的母性般温柔的胸怀。
